Ensana Grand Margaret Island - Budapest

Built in 1873 on the lush green and quiet Margaret Island in the centre of Budapest, the Ensana Grand Margaret Island offers a spacious spa area with a selection of treatments.

A heated underground corridor connects the hotel to the neighbouring Ensana Thermal Margaret Island, which features one of Europes top health spas.

The spa area is free of charge for guests and includes a thermal pool, a recreational pool, a 17 m long swimming pool, a seasonal outdoor pool, various types of saunas and a steam room, which guarantee that you have a pleasant time.
The medical centre offers complex, personalised treatments lasting from a few days to several weeks for people suffering from joint, back, lumbar and neck pain, stress-related conditions and weight problems. The therapies are combined with the beneficial effects of thermal water from Margaret Island and medicinal mud from Hévíz.

Guests can enjoy the a generous breakfast buffetin the Széchenyi Restaurant, which offers a beautiful panoramic view and evokes the atmosphere of the heyday of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. In good weather, the pleasant terrace overlooking the Nagy-rét in Margaret Island is also open for breakfast.
In the autumnwinter season you can enjoy tasty snacks and quality drinks in the authentic club-style Viktória Bar, and in the springsummer season in the Margaret Pub and its shady terrace.

The classically furnished rooms overlook the Danube or the magnificent park. They areair-conditioned and have a minibar.

The island stretches over 4 km and is protected leafy botanical parkland with ancient trees, a Japanese garden, and a rose garden, an open-air amphitheatre, traversed by walking and jogging tracks. It is only a 15-minute drive away from the centre of Budapest.

The hotel day starts from hour 15:00 and ends at 11:00.

All the indicated fares include VAT, but, in compliance with the Hungarian legislation in force, catering and hospitality services shall be invoiced with a different VAT rate from 1 January 2018.

Pursuant to Section 1.9 of Annex 5 to Hungarian Government Decree No. 5102023 (XI. 20.):

Children under 14 years of age may only use the services of a public bath under the responsibility and supervision of a parent or an accompanying adult.

Children under 14 years of age are not allowed to bathe in thermal or hydrotherapy pools or those with a water temperature higher than 35 °C.

Children under 6 years of age are not allowed to bathe in massage pools, jacuzzis and other facilities specified in the House Rules.
